Useful resources
Standards, regulators and industry bodies that govern waterproofing in Australia. Useful for verifying quote details, checking a contractor, or understanding your rights.
Licensing & building authority
Your state regulator
Waterproofing is a licensed trade in most states. Your state regulator is where you check whether a contractor's licence is current and free of complaints.
Australian Standards
What waterproofing should comply with
The Australian Standards specify what membranes can be used, where, and how they must be installed. Compliance with these is mandatory under the National Construction Code for work that requires building approval.
